A simple gesture that makes a difference

At System Logistics, we have observed that even the simple use of disposable cups can have a significant environmental impact. "Every year, we consume enough plastic cups that, if stacked, would reach almost the height of Everest," explains Erica Macellaro, Facility & Energy Supervisor of the company.

To reduce this enormous waste of raw materials, energy, and waste, we decided to take a small but important step forward. We have adapted the coffee dispensers in the company to make them compatible with the use of reusable ceramic mugs. On the occasion of World Cleanup Day 2023, we also gifted all employees a branded System Logistics mug to encourage this new sustainable behavior.

"Each of us can do our part, and by adding up the actions of all our colleagues, we can really make a difference," says Erica. "Together, we will save tons of plastic every year."

In addition to the mugs, System Logistics has also provided employees with a stainless steel water bottle with an elegant and essential design. This represents another solution to reduce the use of plastic bottles, thanks to the free drinking water dispensers available in the company.

Prevention is better than cure: adopting small sustainable habits, such as using your own mug at the office, can truly contribute to a greener future for our company and the planet.
